GTL a member of Global Compact

The Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL), the company managing Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice, has become a member of Global Compact.

This initiative supports the idea of corporate social responsibility to embrace, support and enact the Global Compacts 10 principles, a set of core values, within their spheres of influence in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption. Observing these principles, results in many changes in the business activities of every company.

GTL is the first public company of all those managing Polish airports to become a member of Global Compact. Joining this United Nations initiative shows Katowice Airport's administrator's active support of the idea of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development, as well as emphasising the Group's striving to become a leader in creating and initiating socially responsible strategies and practices.

The Upper Silesian Aviation Group joined almost seven thousand companies, non-government organisations and local self-governments, including 72 units in Poland, all of which are willing to support and implement these noble ideals in their activities.
