From 1 September, timetable changes to Warsaw

 From 1

September, LOT Polish Airlines has announced timetable changes on the Warsaw - Katowice - Warsaw route. The aim of these changes is to make it easier for passengers to transit on to transatlantic LOT Polish Airlines flights from Warsaw Chopin Airport.

With the introduction of changes, the timetable will be as follows:

Monday to Friday
LO3877 Warsaw (07:45) - Katowice (08:40)
LO3878 Katowice (09:05) - Warsaw (10:00)
LO3881 Warsaw (14:45) - Katowice (16:00)
LO3882 Katowice (16:00) - Warsaw (16:50)

Monday to Sunday (excluding Saturdays)
LO3883 Warsaw (17:40) - Katowice (18:30)
LO3884 Katowice (19:05) - Warsaw (19:55)

With these changes from 1 September, LOT Polish Airlines will optimise the transit time for passengers travelling from Pyrzowice on transatlantic routes operated by LOT Polish Airlines from Warsaw Chopin Airport. The transit times will be as follows: From Katowice (flight LO2878 at 9:05) - New York (3h30), Chicago (2h35), Toronto (2h45), Beijing (6h30). To Katowic (flight LO 3881 at 14:45) - New York (1h30), Chicago (40min), Beijing (2h45), Toronto (2h).

The timetable changes are also necessary due to the introduction of larger aircraft on the Warsaw-Katowice route. Until now, the route was operated by 33-seater SAAB 340 aircraft. These will be replaced by 78-seater turboprop Bombardier Q400 NextGeneration and 70-seater Embraer 170 jet aircraft on most routes.
