Modernised baggage hall operational

The modernised baggage hall in Terminal A is officially operational. This investment included the replacement of the entire luggage conveyor system and the baggage hall itself increased to 560 m2, resulting in almost a doubling of luggage handling volume (approx 1 200 passengers/hour). This will significantly improve the standard of passanger handling.

The new luggage conveyor system ensures complete surveillance and control along its entire length - from the check-in desks to when it is retrieved by baggage handlers and loaded onto the wheeled-transport to the aircraft.

"Budoprojekt" from Katowice designed the system and the investment was realised by a Hochtief and Dimark consortium.
