New record set

On Monday 14 July, Katowice Airport handled 15 147 passengers, which is the largest number of passengers handled in a single day in the airport's history. This result broke the previous record from the end of June this year, in which 14 247 passengers were handled.

This year, Katowice Airport will break its existing record in the number of passengers handled in the space of one year - this year there will be around 2.7 million passengers travelling through Katowice Airport. Of these, an astounding 900 000 will be charter passengers (approx. 760 000 passengers last year).
